Abstract: 

It is well documented that Rapid Prototyping (RP) PROCESSes enable to speed-up the design and manufacturing steps in the production cycle. Recently, the application of RP PROCESSes in Rapid Tooling has been expanded and has become one of the most essential elements of the manufacturing PROCESSes. Since a number of different RP PROCESSes are available, there is always a challenge in selecting a suitable method for the desired application at reduced cost and investment. In the present work, the (AHP) method was used to assess the applicability of indirect rapid tooling PROCESSes for Iranian industries. As a case study, the analysis was applied to the Iran-Khodro Engineering and Parts Design Manufacturing Company (SAPCO), Tehran.

Abstract: 

Background & objective: Cutaneous leech is one of the six major diseases and an example of epidemic diseases in tropical regions. Prevalence and spread of this disease is affected by environmental factors and climatic conditions as well as economic, social and cultural issues. In this research, ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS and network analyzes are used to prepare susceptible cutaneous leeches map. Considering high incidence of cutaneous leech in Khuzestan province, Izeh city was selected as a case study.Materials & Methods: For this purpose, the number of patients affected by this disease in Izeh was obtained from the Provincial Health Center from 2009 to 2014. Information layers of elevation, rainfall, temperature, humidity, distance from river, distance from rural areas and land use were identified as effective parameter and their maps were prepared in GIS environment. Parameters were compared in pairs by using (AHP) and ANP and weight of each factors determining their impacts was calculated in Expert Choice and Super Decision software. Then these parameters were combined based on their obtained weights in ArcGIS software and the final cutaneous leech map was prepared. Evaluation of these methods was performed using relative operation curve (ROC) and 16 points related to leech disease.Result: The results of weighting effective parameters using (AHP) and ANP showed that the highest weight is related to elevation, temperature and rainfall parameters, respectively. The results of ROC assessment showed that in preparing the map, ANP had an accuracy of 87.8% and (AHP) had an accuracy of 68.9%.Conclusion: The results of ANP showed that this model had suitable accuracy in preparing susceptible cutaneous leech map and (AHP) had moderate accuracy in preparing susceptible cutaneous leech map.

Abstract: 

Extended abstract:Introduction:In the wake of the rapid urban spatial evolution, urban land use planning is based on two principles of sustainable development and promotion of quality of life. This seeks to achieve some goals such as balanced distribution of uses, prevention of conflicts in incompatible uses, and formulation of land use standards. The city of Birjand, the capital of the southern Khorasan province, has administrative, service, educational and economic role respectively in a regional, provincial and trans-regional scale. Given the urban land use analysis in Birjand, it is of great importance to improve the quality of service to the residents of the city and the influence and achievement of the economic and social goals. The main purpose of this research is to assess the compatibility of land uses in Birjand City. In this research, the compatibility and incompatibility of Birjand city utilization are investigated through the application of modern knowledge of GIS and computational models such as hierarchical analysis.

Abstract: 

Agricultural research system in its goal pursues on-time, real and transparent responsibility to the problems and expectations of the research stakeholders and users. In this area it cannot completely respond to problems and expectations because of many constraints such as time, cost, and facilities and so on. Thus managers and authorities always face to the necessity to optimize the responsibility of that system as a challenge. In this paper ANALYTICal hierarchical PROCESS ((AHP)) as a well known multi criteria decision making method that combines qualified and quantified criterions was implemented in the research institute for the modification and provision of sugar beet seed. Therefore we examined the priority setting literature and methods in the agricultural research, so identified some decision making criteria. We then draw the decision making tree and extracting the research programs priorities for this institute. Required data was gathered through pair wise comparison questionnaires filled by the experts and researchers. Finally we used Expert Choice software to analysis and determine the priorities. Based on results criteria of stability development, scientific development, research possibility and economic development with respective weight 0.374, 0.304, 0.194, and 0.159 are the most important criteria for the institute. Besides protect genetic resource, protect baseline resource, achieve to knowledge and technology, and reach to new products and services with respective weight 0.14, 0.136, 0.131, and .113 are the most important criteria in this study.

Abstract: 

Providing the ease and appropriate access for citizens to all types of civil services is one of the main and important objectives of urban planning. Daily bazaars and fruit and vegetable markets, as especial places for presenting daily necessaries of citizens has a great importance in urban life. Therefore construction of these bazaars based on the proper planning-especially in local scale- will be effective in increasing the welfare of citizens. providing the consumers’ necessaries, saving time and cost, decreasing inner-city travels, providing balance between supply and demand, removal of non legal brokers and strengthening the local relationship of citizens are considered as the advantages of construction such daily bazaars. High shortage of these places in Isfahan city with a population of over 1,600,000 is completely clear.The aim of the present research would be the planning and localization of daily bazaars which are required in different districts of Isfahan city, therefore this subject was analyzed based on the necessities of comprehensive and detailed plans. Localization of bazaars has been performed separately for all different urban areas by using Geographical Information System (GIS) and ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS System ((AHP)).Maximum overall inconsistency ratio in the judgments about each of districts has been estimated about 0.02 which indicates the appropriateness of consistency in judgments.

Abstract: 

Currently, most parts of the world face a serious water supply challenge, with limited access to freshwater resources of good quality. In addition to reducing the damage caused by the discharge of raw wastewater in the environment, wastewater treatment and re-use can help in providing one part of the water need. The use of wastewater for various purposes can have many social, economic, and environmental impacts if not managed properly, even though it is a tool against water shortage. using a multi-criteria decision-making PROCESS this research offers a comprehensive study of the effective criteria for the possibility of using wastewater for various purposes. Criteria include environmental, social, economic and sub-criteria including water storage, reduction of pollutants discharged into the environment, health risks, cooperation between institutions and government, food security, public acceptance, wastewater quality, investment opportunities, revenue generation, feasibility. employing the ANALYTICal HIERARCHY PROCESS ((AHP)) technique and relying on pairwise comparisons and the experts judgment this study indicates the following results. The weight of as follow: industrial usage 0. 17, environmental and urban usage, each. 0. 13, entertainment usage, 0. 11, usage for ground water recharge for non-drinking water, 0. 16, and indirect usage for drinking water, 0. 1. Eventually, the agricultural sector with a coeffecient of imprtance of %19 was selected as the best alternative in which waste water can be used. Abstract: 

Despite the fact that the energy sector has contributed to the destruction of the environment through its emissions of greenhouse gases, human societies have paid more attention to renewable energy sources such as small hydropower plants in response to this issue. For the purpose of determining zoning, 12 layers of environmental, technical, and geographical criteria have been used. In order to achieve the results of this study, we combined multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) with fuzzy algorithms. Basically, the fuzzy-(AHP) method of weighting is used as a method for evaluating the technical and environmental criteria that do not have an internal relationship with one another. Using the fuzzy-ANP method, we are able to weight geographical criteria that are related to one another and are evaluated in terms of their relative importance. In order to identify the zoning map, layers have been overlaid by using the gamma operator 0.9 in order to identify the zoning map. In order to produce the final zoning map, the zoning and the physiographic maps are combined using the Sum operator. Therefore, 13 suitable sites were selected for the construction of power plants, resulting in 22084.69 megawatts of energy being generated per year and 5.8 tons of greenhouse gases being prevented from being released into the atmosphere. During the course of this study, a watershed located in Iran, known as the Karoun watershed, was studied. Furthermore, the methods applied in this research could be performed in other watersheds and evaluated the potential of other power plants such as solar and wind power plants.

Abstract: 

Nowadays, distinctive methods are used in evaluation of the criteria in order to making decision.Among them the ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS ((AHP)) is one of the most efficient. Due to the seismicity of the vast majority part of the country and also the existence of the large number of the unreinforced masonry buildings, the application of the (AHP) method in order to reach to the best alternative of the strengthening of these buildings are developed. The effective parameters in the evaluation alternatives are classified and suitable alternatives for the rehabilitation are evaluated. The results illustrate the preference of the strengthening the masonry walls with the shotcrete, compared to the other alternatives.

Abstract: 

Introduction: and Objective: Road traffic accidents impose numerous social, economic, and cultural costs upon various societies, especially developing countries. Identification of accident blackspots is a method proposed to deal with car accident risks. Among various events associated with transportation network, road traffic accidents play a significant role, because of their specific features, including high frequency, high intensity and the chance of direct involvement of all members of the community. This problem is more conspicuous in developing countries such as Iran. The present study aims to identifyaccidentblackspotsand to prepare risk map for road trafficaccidents in Babol city using volunteered geographic information. Materials and methods: : According to the characteristics of the study area, the present study takes advantage of criteria such as distance from population centers, proximity to city squares, distance from footbridges, and proximity to road intersections to identifyaccidentblackspotsand a prepare risk map for roadtraffic accidents in Babol city. Accident blackspots detected by volunteered geographic information, along with the criteria determined by applying ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS ((AHP)) and ANALYTIC network PROCESS (ANP) were compared in a pairwise manner, and their respective weight was calculated to showtheir specific level of impact. Ultimately, a risk map was produced for the risk of road traffic accidents obtained from each method. In order to evaluate the accuracy of the identified accident blackspots obtained from volunteered geographic information, as well as the accuracy of susceptibility maps, ROC curve and Kappa Coefficient were applied to police official records. Results and discussion: According to the findings, Jame Mosque shopping center, Shahabnia shopping center, intersection of Farhangstreet and Velayat square were identified as the most accident-prone areas in Babol city. Also, among the prespecified criteria, distance from population centers and distance from intersections are considered to be the most important criteria, respectively. Results obtained from the evaluation criteria indicatedhigh accuracy of volunteered geographic information, and thus it is concluded that this kind of information can be effective in determining the accident blackspotsinBabol city. Also, the ANP method works better than (AHP) method in preparing the risk map of accidents. Conclusion: and Future works Due to the large number of road accidents, especially in developing countries, the issue of accident blackspotsand providing a risk map for road trafficaccidents are an essential part of roads safety. In the present study, volunteered geographic information was used, along with multivariate decision-making methods: of ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS ((AHP)) and ANALYTIC network PROCESS (ANP) to identifyaccident blackspots based on number, causes and severity of accidents and to develop a risk map for driving accidents in Babol city. Moreover, the criteria of distance from population centers, proximity to the city squares, distance from the footbridges, and adjacency to intersections were used to determine accident blackspotsand to prepare a risk map for driving accidents in Babol city. According to the results, Jame Mosque shopping center, Shahabnia shopping center, Farhang intersection and Velayat square were identified as the most accident-prone points in Babol city. Also, distance from population centers and distance from intersectionswere identified as the most important criteria, respectively. Evaluation criteria demonstrated that volunteered geographic information can be effective and accurate in determining accident blackspotsinBabol city. Also, the ANP method worked better than (AHP) method in preparing the risk map of driving accidents. The method proposed in this study to identify accident blackspots and preparedriving accidents risk maps can be generalized to other areas. Basedon the characteristics of specific routes, other criteria such as arc radius, longitudinal slope can alsobe used. It is also suggested that the results of other methods: used for investigation ofaccidentblackspotsand production of risk maps based onvolunteered geographic information (VGI) are compared with the results of the present study.
